The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has proposed to the European Commission to add the sixth batch of 15 substances of very high concern (SVHC) to the REACH list
of delegates.
These substances include: bromo-n-propane, diisoamyl phthalate (DIPP), bis(C6-8 branched-chain) alkyl phthalate, C7-rich chain (DIHP), bis(C7-11 branched and straight-chain) alkyl esters, branched and linear 1,2-benzenedicarboxylate (DHNUP), dimethoxyethyl phthalate, diamyl phthalate (DPP), n-amyl isoamyl phthalate, brace, high temperature coal tar pitch, 4- Nonyl (branched and straight-chained) phenol, boric acid, sodium tetraborate anhydrous, boron trioxide, sodium
borate hydrate.
Once approved by the European Commission, the above 15 SVHC substances will be added to the REACH authorization list, and companies will need to apply to ECHA for authorization
to use these substances.
