Recently, news came from Tianjin University that the university's New Energy Materials Research Institute cooperated with the Key Laboratory of Micro-nano Boron Nitride Materials of Hebei University of Technology to create a new process
for room-temperature and atmospheric pressure to form cubic boron nitride.
The new process has achieved three key breakthroughs in room temperature and atmospheric pressure synthesis, ultrafine particles and one-step dehydrogenation, and is in a leading position
in the world.
Researchers from Tianjin University and Hebei University of Technology synthesized ultrafine (3.
5 nm) cubic boron nitride nanoparticles at room temperature and pressure by laser irradiation of ammonia borane solution, and their particle size is only 1/4
of the international smallest cubic boron nitride particle size.
In the green synthesis, performance exploration and application development of boron nitride-based new materials, they have made three breakthroughs: first, for the first time, it is combined to form cubic boron nitride at room temperature and pressure, and the whole process only takes 10 minutes; Second, ultra-fine cubic boron nitride particles were synthesized for the first time, and the hardness reached the highest value of the current material; The third is to realize the rapid and complete dehydrogenation of ammonia borane in one step, which provides a new process
for the rapid hydrogen release of hydrogen storage materials.
