Green Biologics promotes new processes for bio-based butanol and acetone

Green Biologics said today that it has reached an agreement with Easy Energy Systems to retrofit
Easy Energy's ethanol demonstration plant in Emitsburg, Iowa.
Simple Energy's ethanol demonstration plant has successfully produced renewable n-butanol and acetone
from corn waste mash in mid-2012.

Green Bioproducts plans to use its advanced process to expand the size of the Emmitsburg demonstration plant from 40,000 to 80,000 liters
.
Patrick Simms, Chief Operating Officer of Green Biologics, said: "This process leverages the company's patented, advanced biocatalyst technology to double the production
of bio-based butanol with a small additional investment.
