Guangxi plans to build a simulated oil refinery

Recently, Guangxi Petrochemical Advanced Technical School will build the first simulated oil refinery
in Guangxi that is applied to teaching and training.
The simulated refinery project is based on the catalytic cracking part of the 3.
5 million tons/year modern petroleum atmospheric decompression-FCC production unit as the prototype, and the construction
is reduced to about 10:1.
The project was implemented in two phases, and Guangxi invested 5 million yuan to support the construction of
the project.
The first phase is from May 2013 to April 2014, mainly building catalytic cracking workshops, workshops and teaching areas; The second phase is from May 2014 to April 2015, mainly to build a normal vacuum distillation workshop and continue to improve teaching facilities

The project includes real DCS (distributed control system), simulation software and real static equipment, and the simulated parameters are sent to the DCS by simulating the production process operation, allowing the trainees to feel the completely real, running refining and chemical plant

The completion and operation of the 100 billion yuan petrochemical industrial park in Beibu Gulf of Guangxi has put forward higher requirements
for the quantity and quality of training skilled talents in the petrochemical industry.
After the completion of the project, it can not only meet the teaching training and skill assessment and appraisal of students majoring in petrochemical industry, chemical process, chemical instrument automation, chemical machinery and other majors of the university, but also carry out training and certification for employees of petroleum processing enterprises, further meeting the urgent demand
for skilled talents in petrochemical and related industries in Guangxi.
