Recently, Professor Jiang Zhongyi, Professor Michael Guiver and Professor Yin Yan of Tianjin University have cooperated to develop a new method for synthesizing covalent organic framework (COF) nanosheets in the main phase of solution (i.
e.
single-phase method), which uses the charge repulsion effect to achieve efficient synthesis
of COF nanosheets in a single liquid phase.
The single-phase method gets rid of the dependence on the surface/interface of the commonly used two-phase method and multi-phase method, and uses the charge repulsion effect to achieve the ultra-high volume yield
of COF nanosheets.
The R&D team assembled the synthesized COF nanosheets into layered two-dimensional films with crystalline orientation for use in hydrogen-oxygen fuel cells
.
Tests have shown that the battery has an ion conductivity of up to 364.
1 mSiemens/cm, very low planar swelling and a maximum output power
of 891.
7 mW/cm².
