Japan Catalyst and Sanyo Chemical Merger
Recently, Nippon SHOKUBAI and Sanyo Chemical Industries reached an agreement to merge their respective businesses through equity transfer to form an integrated holding company
called Synfomix Co.
Ltd.
The company is scheduled to be officially established
on October 1, 2020.
By merging Nippon Catalyst's Materials business unit with Sanyo Chemical's Solutions business, the company will become a chemical manufacturer
with multiple businesses worldwide.
As a leading product of Japanese catalyst and Sanyo Chemical, superabsorbent resin (SAP) will be the focus of
development after the merger.
