Cabot launches Indonesia carbon black plant expansion project On December 9, Cabot officially broke ground on the expansion project
of the Celgong carbon black plant in Indonesia
.
The expansion will add approximately 80,000 tons of capacity per year, and the project is expected to be completed and put into operation
in 2021.
The additional capacity will bring reliable, locally produced high-quality carbon black products
to the growing (up 4 to 5 percentage points per year) demand for carbon black in Indonesia and across Southeast Asia.
