Yixing established a collaborative innovation center for water pollution control
China's first collaborative innovation center for advanced technology and equipment for water pollution control was recently established
in Yixing, Jiangsu Province.
Led by Nanjing University, the center is jointly built
with Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University and other institutions of higher learning, 10 domestic leading water treatment and equipment enterprises, and 6 national environmental protection industry bases.
The establishment of the center has realized the coordination and convergence
of domestic high-level water pollution control technology and superior resources for industrial development.
In the future, the center will focus on the frontier of water treatment technology and equipment innovation and the major needs of national water pollution control, build an open platform for technological collaborative innovation and industrial collaborative development closely combined with "government, industry, education, research and application", drive the development of related industrial clusters mainly relying on the water treatment industry, and finally build a research and development base for advanced technology and equipment for water pollution control and a training base for high-level compound talents
