Applikon Biotechnology BV in the Netherlands recently launched the micro-Matrix micro-bioreactor provides an integrated, easy-to-use and cost-effective technology platform for the rapid processing and growth of large numbers of microbial strains, cloning libraries, mutation libraries and cells

The system offers 24 independent bioreactors distributed on a cost-effective microtiter plate
.
By adding gases and liquids, the pH and dissolved oxygen of each individual bioreactor can be adjusted
.
The temperature of each bioreactor can be individually adjusted
by means of an integrated cooling and heating system.

micro-Matrix offers true miniature bioreactors with a square box design based on the popular SBS format of microtiter plates that can be seamlessly integrated into automated robots
in the laboratory.
The PC-based HMI system provides a simple and intuitive interactive experience for advanced process control
of each bioreactor.
