Eastman Recycling Technology Commercial Operation
Recently, Eastman announced that one of the company's innovative chemical recycling technologies, carbon regeneration technology, has entered commercial operation
.
This technology can provide solutions for non-renewable materials that are abundant in many products, including single-use plastics, textiles and blankets, and solve the problem
that traditional mechanical recycling technology cannot handle.
Thanks to this technology, plastic waste can be reproduced many times without compromising the quality of
the output.
Carbon regeneration technology is now in operation
at Eastman's global headquarters and its largest manufacturing base, Kingsport.
Mark Costa, chairman and CEO of Eastman, said the technology has the potential to revolutionize the entire recycling industry; Projects are underway and are expected to process 50 million tons
of plastic waste at Eastman's carbon recycling technology facility by 2020.
