Saudi Aramco and SABIC jointly built a crude oil-to-chemical plant
in Riyadh announced that they will develop an integrated industrial complex (COTC)
that converts crude oil into chemicals.
The industrial complex, located in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, will use an economically viable and innovative configuration to convert crude oil into chemicals and is expected to come on stream in 2025, processing 400,000 barrels per day and producing about 9 million tons of chemicals and base oil
per year.
