At Fakuma 2018, LANXESS presented its newly developed materials
for new mobility.

Compared to standard products with the same glass fiber content, polyamide 6 in the new Duretton Performance product range is several times more resistant to fatigue under pulsating loads and also meets the increasing requirements for
the long-term dynamic durability of plastic engine compartment components.
In addition, the material can improve static mechanical properties, such as tensile strength
at higher temperatures.
Potential applications include air intake systems, oil filter modules, parking brakes, as well as furniture locking systems and power tool housings
.
Due to its improved mechanical properties, the new product is in many cases suitable to replace expensive polyamide 66 engineering plastics
with the same glass fiber content.
