Evonik has recently launched a new frame material developed in cooperation with Huamao Optics, TROGAMID T5000, which is a semi-crystalline polyamide with a transparency of 90%, which is an ideal material
for optical product manufacturers.

Compared to other transparent polyamides, it has a higher modulus and stiffness

The material is particularly suitable for the manufacture of thin frames and half-rimmed spectacle frames, which can significantly reduce the weight of the frames without compromising performance, thus greatly improving wearing comfort
