Construction of the Danish Industry Alliance's first green ammonia project begins
Recently, the Danish Industry Alliance consisting of Topsoe, Skovgaard Energy and Vestas announced that the green ammonia demonstration plant project developed and constructed in Lemvie, Denmark officially broke ground
.
The project has received DKK 81 million in funding from Danish energy technology development and demonstration projects and is expected to be operational
in 2023.
The plant, located in the city of Lemvi, Midtjutland, Denmark, will produce more than 5,000 tons of green ammonia per year, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 8,200 tons, and will also build 50 MW of solar panels and 12 MW of Vestas V80-2.
0MW wind turbines to provide renewable energy
.
The plant will produce green ammonia using renewable energy and electrolyzed water, and is investigating how to deliver renewable energy directly to the ammonia plant in the event of fluctuations in power generation to produce green ammonia
in a cost-effective manner.
