ExxonMobil plans to build a new plastics recycling facility
ExxonMobil said it plans to build its first large-scale advanced recycling facility in Texas to reduce plastic waste, and the unit is expected to be operational
by the end of 2022.
Initially, it plans to recycle 30,000 tons of plastic waste per year as a supporting facility
for its recycled polymer production.
ExxonMobil said commercial production of its certified recycled polymers has begun and will be available on the market by the
end of 2021.
Currently, the company is planning to build an advanced recycling plant in France in cooperation with Plastic Energy to establish an advanced recycling capacity
of about 500,000 tons/year worldwide by 2026.
