Evonik broke ground on its second integrated methionine plant
in Singapore with the groundbreaking ceremony
for its second world-class DL-methionine plant in Singapore.
With a total investment of more than EUR 500 million and a production capacity of 150,000 metric tons, the new plant is expected to start full-scale production
in 2019.
In addition to methionine, the new plant will produce all strategically important precursor products to ensure product quality and supply stability

The company sells DL-methionine products
under the MetAMINO brand.
The new plant will increase the brand's production capacity in Asia to 300,000 tons, bringing the global production capacity to 730,000 tons
