The FVD crude oil vacuum distillation technology development and industrial application project, jointly undertaken by Sinopec Fushun Petrochemical Research Institute and Tahe Branch, recently passed the technical appraisal
organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Sinopec in Beijing.

After years of experimental research and technical reserves, the research and development of FVD crude oil decompression and deep drawing technology carried out by Fushun Petrochemical Institute has made breakthroughs
in the aspects of decompression transfer line, feed distributor, stripping section and heat transfer of near-air towers.
Through simulation calculation, cold mold test and hot mold test, a new type of FDVD feed distributor and near-empty tower heat transfer and composite bed technology
was developed.
At the same time, through the research on the new process of the vacuum transfer line, the regular packing technology of the stripping section and the cold wall tower technology, a complete set of FVD crude oil vacuum distillation technology
with independent intellectual property rights has been formed.
FVD crude oil vacuum distillation technology has been industrially applied in the Tahe refining and atmospheric vacuum repressurization-coking unit, which improves the separation accuracy of the vacuum distillation column, solves the problems of non-compliance with the flash point of grade A asphalt in the production of vacuum residue oil, improves product quality, and improves the economic benefits of
the production plant.
