WACKER officially started production
at its new pyrogenic silica plant in the U.
S.
and has recently opened a pyrogenic silica plant
at its Charleston site in Tennessee.

The plant has a capacity of 13,000 tons and an investment of approximately USD 150 million
.
The products are not only exported, but also used in WACKER's own silicone production
.
The commissioning of the plant enables WACKER to supply HDK^® pyrogenic silica products
directly to customers in the Americas.
In addition to state-of-the-art filling and packaging equipment, the new production plant will also feature test and development laboratories as well as training classrooms
for WACKER ACADEMY.
Here, customers can learn about highly dispersible pyrogenic silica
through seminars, training and hands-on exercises.
