HYOSUNG GROUP PLANS TO BUILD A LARGE-SCALE CARBON FIBER PRODUCTION BASE
Recently, South Korea's Hyosung Group held a signing ceremony for new carbon fiber investment, announcing that it plans to invest 1 trillion won (about 5.
8 billion yuan) by 2028 to build the world's largest carbon fiber production base
.
The company announced plans for the next nine years: to build nine new carbon fiber production lines at its Jeonju plant in North Jeolla Province, and to increase the current 2,000-ton (one line) plant capacity by 12 times to 24,000 tons (10 lines)
by 2028.
