On October 9, Solvay's Board of Directors announced the appointment of Ilham Kadri as Chairman of the Group Executive Committee, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Solvay, effective
March 1, 2019.

Ilham Kadri, a dual French-Moroccan citizen, graduated from the Louis Pasteur University of Strasbourg with an engineering degree from the Polymer Application Institute of Strasbourg and a doctorate in
macromolecular physical chemistry.
She currently serves as CEO and President
of Diversey, an American clean health technology and services company.
Ilham Kadri will join Solvay on January 1, 2019, completing a two-month handover with current CEO Jean-Pierre Clamadieu, before taking over the Group and continuing the Group's transformation strategy, bringing to Solvay the role of multinational companies such as Shell-Basell, UCB-Cytec, Huntsman, Dow has gained diverse international experience
