Shell has signed a letter of intent with the Iranian National Petrochemical Company (NPC) to cooperate in the energy sector, including the petrochemical field, which may mean that
Shell will return to the Iranian petrochemical market

Hans Nijkamp, Shell's head of Iran, said the letter of intent would give Shell and NPC a framework for
further discussions on the project.
