and Europe

On January 5, specialty chemicals company Solvay announced that it had agreed to sell its two surfactant businesses in North America and Europe to U.
S.
private equity firm OpenGate Capital
.
The business employs approximately 175 people and includes three major production sites in University Park, Illinois, USA, Halifax, UK, Genting, Germany, and a toll collection business
in Turkey.
