France has banned the production, import, export or sale of any food packaging containing BPA since January this year to avoid the potential harm
to human health caused by this substance.
Therefore, all food packaging containing bisphenol A (BPA) and in direct contact with food will gradually disappear from the eyes
of French consumers.
France has banned the use of BPA
in packaging and containers of infant food since 2013.
Bisphenol A is a chemical
widely used in the manufacture of plastics.
The implementation of this measure makes France the first country in the world to
ban BPA on a large scale.
