Brazil launches $1 billion LNG power generation project

According to foreign media recently, a joint venture between BP, Siemens, Tecbras and EDF has been granted permission to start construction, which will provide energy
to 6 million households through liquefied natural gas power plants.
The plant is divided into four phases and will have a capacity of 6.
4 GW
when completed.

The $1 billion Gás Natural A?Ao U (GNA) project will have 1.
338 GW of power generation capacity, and the second phase will begin in November and will add 1.
681 GW of capacity, making it the largest LNG power generation project
in Latin America.
