MOL invests in the construction of a 200,000-ton polyether polyol project
Thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions and the Hungarian Oil and Gas Group (MOL) signed a contract
for the construction of an EPC (design, procurement and construction) complex with an annual output of 200,000 tons of
polyether polyol chemical complex in Hungary.
The complex project consists of
plants for the production of hydrogen peroxide and propylene oxide, several production lines for the production of polyether polyols and propylene glycols, and associated infrastructure.
The project is MOL Group's largest investment project to date, with a total investment of around 1.
2 billion euros, and is scheduled to be operational in the second half of 2021, with earthworks and infrastructure construction to begin
in the fourth quarter of 2018.
