Recently, researchers from the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences developed a new photocatalytic water oxidation and traditional catalytic hydrogen peroxide wet oxidation (CWPO) coupling technology (Photo-CWPO) to achieve efficient removal of organic pollutants and apply them to industrial organic wastewater treatment, providing a new technical route
for the deep mineralization treatment of organic wastewater.
Photo-CWPO technology uses photogenerated electrons to achieve the reduction of Fe3+ to Fe2+, so as to achieve efficient circulation
of iron ions in CWPO.
At the same time, researchers use photogenerated holes to achieve the oxidative degradation of organic pollutants, which greatly reduces the amount of hydrogen peroxide used in the coupled system, thereby reducing the treatment cost
.
This technology has been verified in the degradation of more than 10 organic pollutant molecules, showing good universality and stability
.
At present, this technology has been scaled up and applied in the actual industrial wastewater treatment, and has been applied to the treatment of coal chemical wastewater, methanol to olefin wastewater, metadicarbonazine wastewater, etc.
, showing good treatment effects
