Evonik has developed the world's first flexible plastic material
based on polyether block amide (PEBA) for 3D printing.
This high-performance powder material is characterized by high elasticity and strength, and is suitable for a variety of powder-based 3D printing technologies such as laser sintering, high-speed sintering or adhesive jetting
.
3D printed parts made of this powder can show a high degree of flexibility, chemical resistance and durability
in the temperature range of -40°C~90°C.
The material is also perfectly suited for the manufacture of functional, three-dimensional high-tech plastic parts, both for prototypes and mass-produced products
.
Evonik has already launched an intensive development cooperation
with 3D printing technology provider EOS.
This flexible synthetic powder optimizes EOS's laser sintering system and has been successfully incorporated into the material portfolio of
EOS multi-service providers.
