ExxonMobil plans to restart ExxonMobil, the second-largest U.
S.
refinery, said it is working to restart the Baytown refinery
in the Houston area that was closed due to Tropical Storm Harvey, but the timing of the resumption of normal operations at the 560,000 b/d Baytown plant will largely depend on the availability and condition of
transportation infrastructure.
According to its initial assessment of the Baytown facility, only minor repairs are needed and good progress
is being made in facilitating the resumption of operations.
ExxonMobil also said another coastal refinery in Texas would remain closed
