France bans the use of perchloroethylene
in dry cleaning equipment

After that, tetrachloroethylene will not be allowed to be used in new equipment, and the ban will take effect
in the near future.

on January 1, 2022.
Both the United States and Denmark now prohibit the use of tetrachloroethylene
in new dry cleaners.

Tetrachloroethylene is a dry cleaning solvent commonly used in countries around the world, which has the advantages of high cleanliness, recyclability, good safety and low price, and there is no dry cleaning solvent comparable to it

However, its biggest disadvantage is that it is harmful to the human body, and whether it is a carcinogen has not been determined because there is no tangible evidence

Denmark will conduct a comprehensive survey of 40 chemical substances over the next four years, and at the request of the Danish Parliament, the Danish Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) plans to conduct a comprehensive and detailed survey of 40 categories of substances
to supplement the missing use of these substances: including data
on tonnage and exposure, environmental and human health effects.
These substances are listed under
the Danish Lous List.
In 2012, the following 10 broad groups of substances are expected to be evaluated on a priority basis: perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS), perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), special-purpose phthalates (propyl, butyl, isopropyl parahydroxyphthalates, preservatives, methyl, ethyl esters), methanol, alkylphenol and alkyl phenol, bisphenol A, bisphenol A diglycidyl ether, CAS number: 21729-63-5 (no Chinese name), 1.
