Huntsman announces the opening of a new plant
in Vietnam On August 23, Huntsman announced that it has opened a multi-purpose factory
in the Amatta Vietnam Industrial Park near Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
The facility is a greenfield investment that will serve Huntsman's polyurethane and advanced materials businesses and integrate manufacturing, research and development, a technical service center, warehouses, distribution space and commercial offices
.

Tony Hankins, CEO and President of Viscos, Huntsman Asia Pacific, said: "At the new facility, we will produce formulation systems for the footwear and automotive markets, rigid insulating foam for construction and cold chain, and artificial wood
for the furniture market.
These products will be consumed mainly in Vietnam, and some will also be exported to Cambodia
.
The facility will enable Huntsman to work more effectively with customers in Vietnam and will strengthen our global downstream reinforcement acquisition strategy
