ExxonMobil completes acquisition of Singapore's Jurong Aromatics Plant

27 -- ExxonMobil said in a statement that it has completed its acquisition of Singapore's Jurong Aromatics Complex, a move that will help ExxonMobil meet growing demand
for petrochemicals in the region.
The facility is located near ExxonMobil's largest integrated refining and petrochemical plant in Singapore, which has an annual ethylene capacity of 1.
9 million tons and a capacity
to process 592,000 barrels of crude oil per day.
"The acquisition will strengthen operational and logistics synergies between the two companies and will increase ExxonMobil's annual production of aromatics in Singapore to more than 3.
5 million tons, including 1.
8 million tons of paraxylene, and add approximately 65,000 barrels of transportation fuel capacity
per day," ExxonMobil said.
