WACKER has recently launched VINNAPAS, developed for demanding paperboard surface coatings, for coated paperboard and packaging applications.
EF 104 new binder

The product is the first binder based on vinyl acetate-ethylene (VAE) copolymer emulsions with an innovative polymer modification treatment and offers a number of superior properties that are currently only possible
with alternative systems.
VINNAPAS? EF 104 has good calendered sheet gloss, brightness and high transparency
.
Coating the surface with this new binder results in crisp printed images, bright colors and excellent ink gloss
.
The product has excellent dry and wet adhesive coating strength, which is essential
for good print quality and coated paper and cardboard processing.
VINNAPAS? EF 104 also has rheological properties
similar to alternative binders such as styrene-acrylic emulsion and styrene-butadiene latex.
In addition, the new product is easy to formulate coating colors and can be applied
using traditional paper coating methods.
