LANXESS completes the acquisition of Emerald Kalama, an American specialty chemical manufacturer
On August 4, Lanxess announced the completion of the acquisition
of Emerald Kalama Chemical, a U.
S.
specialty chemicals manufacturer.
LANXESS has received all required regulatory approvals

Emerald Kalama's enterprise value is $1.
075 billion, and after deducting liabilities, the purchase price is approximately $1.
04 billion, financed from LANXESS's existing liquid assets

This is the second largest merger in
the company's history.
With the completion of the transaction, LANXESS added three production sites in Kalama, Washington, USA, Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and Widnis,
UK.
In 2020, Emerald Kalama had global sales of approximately $425 million and EBITDA of approximately $90 million
in ordinary operations.
Over the next three years, LANXESS expects synergies to contribute an additional EBITDA
of approximately USD 30 million.
