At K 2019, WACKER will be presenting its portfolio of self-adhesive liquid silicone rubbers with low sliding friction coefficients, including the ELASTOSIL LR 3671 and ELASTOSIL®®LR 3675 series for food and automotive technology applications.

The new liquid silicone rubber products are self-adhesive and can adhere to thermoplastics such as polyamides and polybutylene terephthalate
.
The silicone elastomers made from these three products have a sliding friction coefficient that is 50 to 70 percent lower than that of standard silicone rubber, which has the effect of reducing friction, and at the same time, the surface of the product does not produce oil like oil-permeable silicone rubber, so it is suitable for the production of oil-free parts
with a lubricated surface.
ELASTOSIL®LR 3671 is a series of products developed by WACKER specifically for applications that come into direct contact with food, and its vulcanized adhesives are properly heat treated to food-grade standards and meet the recommendations
of the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment and the US Food and Drug Administration.
Applications include shaft seal components for electric kitchen appliances and sealing elements for thermos bottle caps

SILPURAN®6760/50 vulcanizates are biocompatible after post-maturation and are ideal for
seals in pharmaceutical and medical technology such as syringes and metering pumps.
The ELASTOSIL®LR 3675 series was developed by WACKER for automotive technology applications
