French energy giant put into production of Cygnus Bravo gas field in the North Sea Recently, Engie E&P UK Ltd under French energy giant Engie began to produce natural gas from the Cygnus Bravo gas
field
in the North Sea.
The entire Cygnus consortium consists of 4 platforms and 2 subsea structures serving
a gas field estimated at 250 square kilometres.
Cygnus Bravo is a satellite wellhead platform
in the Cygnus development project operated by a French company in the southern North Sea.
Gas from Cygnus Bravo is exported to Cygnus Alpha, 7km southeast of it, which has been producing its own gas since December last year, and production has remained steady at 250 million cubic feet per day
.
The combined gas production is then transported to the Esmond transmission system via a 55km pipeline from the Alpha processing unit 150km offshore from Lincolnshire, UK, where the gas finally lands at the Buckton Gas Terminal
in Norfolk.
