Air Liquide supplies hydrogen
to thyssenkrupp industrial projects Recently, Air Liquide has partnered with carbon steel supplier thyssenkrupp to jointly develop the production of
mild steel.

The pilot phase of the project is expected to be completed in 2019, after which Air Liquide will ensure a stable supply
of hydrogen to thyssenkrupp through its 200-kilometre-long pipeline in the Rhine-Ruhr region.
The solution will be applied first to thyssenkrupp's blast furnace at its integrated steel plant in Duisburg, Germany, and to all blast furnaces
on site.
In this pioneering steelmaking project, a large amount of hydrogen will be injected into the blast furnace to partially replace pulverized coal for combustion
