Covestro expands global film production Covestro recently said that it is planning to significantly expand global film production
to meet growing demand
in various regions.
The total investment in the expansion will exceed EUR 100 million, including related infrastructure and logistics investments
.

The planned expansion will involve the company's sites in Mata Province (Thailand), Guangzhou (China), South Deerfield in the USA and Dormagen in Germany: Covestro is building a new production line in Mata Province, Thailand, scheduled for completion by the end of 2019, which will use modern co-extrusion technology; At the Guangzhou site, the initial focus is on transforming the existing coextrusion line, with the first batch of new capacity to be put into operation as early as mid-2019.
At its South Deerfield site in Massachusetts, USA, the company is working to improve production efficiency and product quality; At the Dormagen site in Germany, Covestro is also building a new coextrusion line, which is scheduled to be completed
in the fourth quarter of 2020.
