SGL launches innovative carbon fiber-reinforced graphite materials

The SGL Group, the world's leading manufacturer of carbon graphite materials and related products, has announced that it has successfully developed a new carbon fiber reinforced graphite material
for industrial heat treatment.

In general, carbon fiber-reinforced graphite materials are mainly used in various fields that require lightweight weight and high temperature resistance, such as heat-treated steel components in the automotive and aerospace fields and silicon wafer coatings in the photovoltaic industry

The new carbon fiber reinforced graphite material developed by SGL Group is a high-strength composite material composed of graphite matrix and reinforced carbon fiber, which belongs to a kind of
carbon carbon composite material.
However, this new material uses unidirectional carbon fiber cloth instead of traditional carbon fiber fabric, so the product performance is significantly improved, and the performance can be optimized to meet the special needs of
