Perstorp, a methanol recycling project, has decided to study the potential for
methanol
recovery using carbon dioxide and residues at its plant in Stenungsund, Sweden.
The project not only reduces CO2 emissions from the production process, but also aims to produce recycled methanol as an alternative to petrochemical methanol as a feedstock
for Perstorp's production.
For example, recycled methanol is used in the company's renewable, environmentally friendly products and solutions
.
Jan Secher, President and CEO of Perstorp, said: "We have embarked on challenging sustainability goals
.
The methanol project aims to support the growing global demand
from end consumers and brands for more sustainable products and materials.
