On July 10, BASF plans to increase the global production capacity of the antioxidant Irganox®1010 by 40 percent
at its production sites in Jurong Island in Singapore, Kesten, Switzerland, and Mackintosh, Alabama, USA.
The company will build a new production line in Singapore and consolidate it into its existing production facility, which is expected to start production in early 2021, when the Irganox®1010 production capacity will be doubled
.
BASF will also remove bottlenecks at the Kaesten plant in Switzerland and increase its existing production capacity by 30 percent, which is expected to start operations
in 2019.
In addition, BASF will invest in its facility in McIntosh, Alabama, USA, to expand production capacity to meet growing demand
in Asia Pacific.
