CB&I Group recently held a petrochemical and beyond petrochemical technology seminar, and shared various petrochemical and refining technology solutions
that help enterprises maximize economic benefits.
CB&I's MTO olefin separation technology is widely recognized
by many owners for its low energy consumption and excellent recovery rate.
Its proprietary olefin conversion technology (OCT), which efficiently utilizes C4 and C5 to produce propylene, in combination with the MTO unit, can achieve the lowest unit consumption of tonne of olefin methanol to maximize
the economic benefits of the enterprise.
At present, olefin conversion technology can not only convert C4 but also C5 olefin, further increasing
propylene production.
In addition, CB&I has proposed a series of innovative solutions to improve the economic efficiency of ethylene plants, including combining steam cracking with C4/C5 olefin conversion technology that increases the value of by-products, which can increase propylene production capacity by up to 54%; Replace naphtha feeding by ethane feeding or propane and butane feeding to reduce raw material consumption and energy consumption; By combining the ethylene plant with the gas turbine, the turbine tail gas can be used as the combustion gas of the cracking furnace while generating electricity, which can save 20% of energy consumption
.
BP/CB&I's PX crystallization technology provides customers with a safe and environmentally friendly PX production technology with low energy consumption, low investment, low emissions, which has outstanding advantages far lower than the energy consumption of adsorption and separation technology, and further reduces the production cost of PX because it does not require any adsorbent/desorption agent, and has the advantages
of low emission environmental protection.
