◆ International Paint launches two new patented
technologies
for fouling control A few days ago, AkzoNobel subsidiary International Paint Ltd.
officially launched two innovative coating solutions, Intercept 8000 LPP and Intersleek 1100SR.


Intercept?8000 LPP is a new linear polished polymer antifouling paint containing biopesticides featuring patented "LUBYON" technology with a service life period of up to 90 months
.
LUBYON?polymer technology makes the coating surface "super hydrophilic", when the coating is immersed in water, seawater will produce a lubricating effect, thereby reducing friction, reducing drag and improving the efficiency
of ship operations.
Compared to conventional controlled melt antifouling, the average annual fuel consumption savings and associated exhaust emissions are reduced by up to 5%.

At the same time, through the reaction between the active surface zone and the seawater, the Intercept?8000 LPP can continuously release the appropriate amount of bioinsecticide throughout its life to prevent fouling of the organism's colony, and its release rate is almost independent of
the seawater temperature.
