BASF will expand polystyrene material production capacity BASF (BASF) said today that it will adjust its plants in Ulsan, South Korea and Ludwig, Germany, in the fourth quarter of 2018 to increase production capacity
for graphite-containing expandable polystyrene materials.
BASF's plant in Ulsan, South Korea, will convert its 85,000-metric annual production capacity of conventional white EPS (expandable polystyrene) Styropor to improved insulation neopor by the end of the year to meet the growing demand
for grey materials in Asia.
The Ludwigshafen plant has been adjusted to produce 200,000 tons of neopor per year, and the annual capacity of white and grey expandable polystyrene materials has been increased from 440,000 tons to 460,000 tons
.
