The project "Application Research of New Environmental Protection Slow-release Fertilizer in Agricultural Emission Reduction" hosted by the Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region has recently successfully passed the review and acceptance
of the expert group organized by the science and technology department of the autonomous region.
It is understood that the project focuses on the research and development of slow-release fertilizer technology around local rice, spring wheat, winter wheat and corn crops, determines the optimal proportion of nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium and slow-release agents in slow-release fertilizer, and develops slow-release fertilizer varieties
suitable for local agricultural production.
Through the nutrient absorption characteristics, slow-release fertilizer nutrient release characteristics, and slow-release agent formula and proportion of different crop varieties, the yield increase effect and application methods
of four new environmentally friendly slow-release fertilizers suitable for use in yellowing irrigation areas were determined.
