PTTGC plans to build a plastic recycling plant in the United States
Recently, Thailand's PTT Global Chemical Industry (PTTGC) announced that it is planning to build a plastic recycling plant in the United States, and the final investment decision will be made
by the end of the year.
At this time, PTTGC has not released details
of the recycling process technology to be used and the cost of the project.
PTTGC has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Cincinnati, Ohio, to provide bales of waste plastic
if the project is implemented.
In addition, Rumpke announced in February plans to build a $50 million facility in Columbus, Ohio, to process recyclable municipal waste, which will begin operations
in 2024.
