BP and Rosneft signed
a gas supply agreement days ago, BP announced that it has signed a preliminary agreement
to supply natural gas from Russian oil giant Rosneft to the European market, and reached a deal to jointly implement natural gas projects
in Russia 。 BP Gas Marketing Ltd.
, a wholly-owned subsidiary of BP, will sign a long-term sales and purchase agreement with Rosneft to supply more Russian gas
to the European market starting in 2019, under a memorandum of understanding.

David Campbell, president of BP Russia, said the shift to gas was a pillar
of BP's strategy.
He said natural gas was rising in the UK's portfolio and was expected to account for around 60 per cent of the company's total production by the middle of the next decade, compared with around
50 per cent in this deal.
