    Recently, Hebei Iron and Steel Group Tang Iron and Steel Company and the United States Hasco Group signed a cooperation framework agreement
    on the use of steelmaking converter gas fermentation method to produce fuel ethanol project.
    This is the first industrialization project of steelmaking furnace gas to ethanol in China after the successful pilot test of Baosteel, and after the completion of the project, the daily treatment of converter gas is 650,000 standard cubic meters, and the annual production of ethanol can reach more than
    30,000 tons.

    Compared with most domestic steel enterprises that mainly use surplus converter gas for power generation, this new gas utilization method has the advantages of being cleaner and more efficient, and can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 50% and increase benefits by 1.
