Arkema plans to acquire an American adhesive producer

On May 17, Arkema announced that its Bostik business plans to acquire Edge Adhesives, Texas, a complementary asset to hot melt adhesives and pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes for residential construction, to expand its presence
in the U.
S.
high-performance adhesives segment.
The transaction is expected to close
in the second quarter of 2021.

In addition to providing strong technical, industrial and commercial synergies, the project will enable Bostik to provide customers with additional value-added and sustainable solutions
in the field of hot melt pressure sensitive adhesives.
The acquisition aligns with Bostik's growth strategy in high value-added adhesives and expands its presence
in North America.
