Venture Global LNG Introduces Honeywell UOP Technology
Honeywell today announced that Venture Global LNG will use a range of Honeywell UOP technologies at its Calcasieu Pass liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility in the Cameron, Louisiana, region to remove various impurities
from natural gas before it liquefies.
The project consists of a Honeywell UOP mercury removal unit (MRU) and three stand-alone facilities, each consisting of
an acid gas removal unit (AGRU) and a molecular sieve dewatering unit.
Combined, the modular units can preprocess approximately 45.
3 million standard cubic meters of natural gas per day, removing water, mercury, carbon dioxide and sulfur
.
Honeywell UOP will provide design, procurement and assembly services
for the cogeneration unit.
After the project is put into operation, its annual LNG production can reach 10 million tons, which will be sold to Asia, Europe and other regions
.
Mr.
Maoshu Liu, vice president and general manager of Honeywell UOP China, said, "Honeywell UOP will assist Venture Global LNG in building advanced LNG facilities to provide low-cost LNG
using large-scale, high-performance equipment.
Delivering technology in a modular format helps reduce construction and installation costs
compared to traditional on-site construction systems.
