ExxonMobil Mozambique LNG Project Approved
The Mozambican government has approved a joint venture between ExxonMobil and its Mozambican partner Rovuma Venture Spa (MRV) to develop
Rovuma liquefied natural gas (LNG).
The project will produce, liquefy and sell natural gas from three reservoirs in Block 4 offshore Mozambique, with an annual production capacity of more than 15 million tons, and is expected to start production
in 2024.
Marketing is shared between ExxonMobil and Eni Group
.
ExxonMobil will participate in the construction and operation of natural gas liquefaction facilities
on behalf of MRV.
